People are playing legit characters and gearing themselves with self-found items. Now please take this with the following consideratoin - Playing single player has been more and more popular in the recent years, especially with the Pluggy mode. The one that works across multiple versions of Diablo II, including 1.13, Pluggy and the newest official version - Hero Editor v1.04
Hero editors or trainers are used for single player editing of characters. I don't have anything against trainers as they are exclusive to single player and I think that people can do whatever they want (even botting) as long as it's single player. I respect the game hack free and I think the game would have been insanely good without the dupes, hacks or bots. You will not find any bots or hacks or dupes here. It is the way how I play 1.13 and plugy 9.00. In addition, you can make by yourself 1.13 runewords mod described on this board. I mule all items to shared stash after that I exit the game and delete character_name.d2x file from save game folder to prevent the disappearance of items which can occur when I run 1.13. Now, when I want to enjoy the benefits of patch 1.13 I play my characters with 1.13 version of diablo, when I get full stash of items I exit the game and I run 1.12 - plugy version. Make shortcuts to diablo 1.13 and 1.12 - plugy Install plugy to the 1.12 folder of diablo Install 2 copies of diablo according to the methods described in many places in the internet, one installation with 1.13 patch and another with 1.12 patch
It is the way to at least use a shared stash and do ubers on plugy: It seems that diablo 1.12 and 1.13 saves are compatible with each other and/or with plugy 9.00 provided that there isnt a new items from patch 1.13 in character save games like essences.
